What to Do: Beaches

Brewster scenes

Brewster has miles of beautiful saltwater beaches on Cape Cod Bay. The tide has a tremendous influence, causing the water to recede over a mile. This exposes an expanse of sand and tidal pools known as the Brewster flats.

Each of the seven public beaches with parking is approachable from a street off Main Street (Route 6A).

Brewster's bayside beaches are (from west to east) Paine's Creek Beach, Robbins Hill Beach, Saint's Landing, Breakwater Beach, Ellis Landing, Linnell Landing, and Crosby Landing.

There are also a number of beautiful, readily accessible fresh water beaches open to the public on Brewster's freshwater ponds. Long Pond and Sheep Pond have public beaches.

All Brewster town beaches/landings REQUIRE a beach sticker for parking during June 14 - Friday of Labor Day Weekend, between 9 am - 3 pm. AFTER 3 pm Brewster beaches are FREE.

Beach Stickers are sold only at the Brewster Visitor Center in the Brewster Town Hall Offices, 2198 Main Street, from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. every day from June until Friday of Labor Day Weekend (August 31, 2007). The Sticker office is open June 1st - August 31, 508 896-4511. The rest of the year contact the Selectmen's office 508 896-3701, ext. 134.
